1980 Greco SA1200 Blond

Exceedingly rare and remarkably well preserved, 100% original, 1980 Greco SA1200 in natural/blonde. Built by legendary Fujigen Gakki, this one of the most faithful/realistic reproductions of the original 1959 ES 335 ever done. This rare, early example from Greco’s Super Real Series features some of the first of the highly coveted PAF clone, “stamped” Dry Z pickups produced by Maxon, original Kluson Deluxe double line, double ring tuning machines and what is likely a genuine Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Very little fret wear on this one with a mellowed amber lacquer finish and aged nickel hardware patina. The bridge pickup ring has a crack repair, a few minor dings on the lower bout binding (see pics). Plays beautifully and sounds glorious with that characteristic dry tone and clarity. Comes with original Lifton style hard case, truss rod wrench and period Greco SA1200 Japanese magazine ad.
