~1980 Gretsch BST-1500 Beast

From the wild 1980s, when Gretsch was in some kind of suspended reality between their original and their present. I worked at their original Gretsch factory in Brooklyn in the 1960s and I helped Fender get their fabulous Gretsch revival off the ground at my store here in NewYork in the 1990s, but what went on in between is off in its own world. So…… we have here this teriffic, unique, Gretsch solidbody Beast from 1980, so dated because they apparently made this rare version in no other year, more or less. it’s got a solid genuine mahogany body, a solid maple neck, a solid rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of very hot very real DiMarzio Super-Distortion humbuckers.
