Description

How cool is this fully original 1959 Gretsch Double Anniversary Tenor in its Smoke Green finish?! We’re so glad to have this rare piece, as we’ve not seen another example quite like this one, with two original 4-pole Filtertron pickups and an original “Anniversary” plaque on the headstock. The finish itself is in excellent shape, with some very minor playwear, and some binding rot to the back section of binding. We can see the original owner’s name was added to the pickguard: Marie J. Christy. While we’re not sure who Marie was, though it’s clear from her playwear that she liked this piece! There was another set of tuners installed at one point, but the original set is back on the instrument, with no extra holes added. Besides this, the guitar is fully original and in great playing shape!

Overall Condition: 8.5, minor playwear and some binding rot
