1958 Gretsch Duo-Jet "Black"

Just out of a collection, this 1958 example is one of the cleanest Duo-Jets we've ever had! George Harrison called the Gretsch Duo-Jet his first "real, decent guitar", and the instrument can be seen in many early Cavern Club photos. This 1958 model features the earlier DeArmond pickups that made these guitars a hit with early rock n' rollers, as as a comfortable "D" shaped mahogany neck, roller bridge, and chambered solidbody. This guitar is in exceptional condition and includes the original Gretsch hardshell case. A fantastic player and a perfect example of "That Great Gretsch Sound!"
