Summary: The Gretsch 6120 BS hollowbody is a throwback to the classic hollowbody guitars Chet Atkins made famous in the '50s and '60s. The maple top, back, and sides are stunning and lend a more modern vibe to this legendary guitar. The ebony fingerboard is adorned with neo-classic thumbnail inlays. The hollowbody of the 6120 Chet Atkins hollowbody is loaded with Filter'Tron pickups, and a gold Bigsby tailpiece provides the classic "twang" that made Gretsch a favorite of country and rockabilly players.
Body: Maple top/back/sides, gloss Blue Burst finish.
Neck: Maple with an Ebony fingerboard, 24.6” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 22 frets, thumbnail inlay markers.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Filter’Tron pickups, Bigsby tailpiece, Grover closed gear tuning keys, 3-position pickup selector, 2 pickup volumes, master volume, 3-position toggle master tone switch, Rosewood-based Adjust-o-Matic bridge, Bound fingerboard, multiple body bindings, gold pickguard with Gretsch logo, gold control knobs.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. There are pin head size indentations on the back of the body that can be seen in a reflection.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
