I can't tell you how long it's been since I've seen one of these master-builds... I'm so excited to see this long-awaited master-built guitar in stock.
Gorgeous quilted maple top, sides and back. The neck is curly maple.
It's a ridiculously cool and bouncy one that fits perfectly with the image of the gorgeous Gretsch.
And the frame is the popular 1959 specification! It is sure to be useful in a wide variety of genres.

Gretsch guitars have been firmly established since the birth of rock and roll and rockabilly in the 50's, through the British in the 60's, punk in the 70's/80's, new wave, neo-rocka, alternative in the 90's, and many other movements up to the present day.
Its beautiful and cool looks and sound have long been appealing to musicians all over the world who love tradition.

The Custom Shop G6120T-59 Quilted Maple Nashville NOS is a master-built one-off creation of the very popular 1959 style!
Builder Chad Henriksen joined Gretsch Custom Shop in 2008 after spending four years as a guitar tech at Fender, where he later served as the Quality Control Inspection Lead.
Chad brings his trained eye for subtle nuance and perfection to the Gretsch Custom Shop, where he specializes in custom necks.
With a diverse background in guitars, basses, pianos, and drums, he has proudly built instruments with artists such as Zac Brown, Tom Peterson of Cheap Trick, Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and many others.

The top, sides, back, and headstock are made of quilted maple that twinkles so beautifully that it can no longer be reproduced in this photo.
When you change the angle, you can see the sparkle of the bee. The color shading also makes you want to keep looking at it forever.
The top quality quilted maple is braced with ML bracing, which is a further development of the trestle bracing.
The neck side strut has been removed, which allows the body to vibrate more, and the sound is not overly hard.
The body is a traditional 16" wide maple hollow body, and this is one of those instruments that is a cousin to the new and challenging in many ways.

The curly maple neck, which is also stunning, is C-shaped and slightly thinner,
The Ebony fretboard with pearloid thumbnail inlays and position markers give it a clear and crisp sound.

The pickups are the most popular TV Jones TV Classic and TV Jones Classic Plus.
The appearance is a reproduction of the late 1950s, and the sound is a reproduction of the "Filter Tron" that was used by many famous artists!
The sound is light, shimmery, and grainy, a true classic twingey sound!

Controls are traditional Gretsch style, each pickup volume and master volume,
A 3-way pickup selector switch and 3-way tone selector are provided.
Of course, it comes with a treble bleed tone circuit.
It's cooler to have a lot of fancy stuff on this look...!

The Custom Shop's tortoiseshell binding and black purfling are also used.
The tortoiseshell binding is a perfect match for the slightly aged natural color.
The headstock's horseshoe, logo, and truss rod cover are also tortoiseshell patterned.

The case comes with an aged cowboy case.
The guitar itself is clean because of the NOS finish, but the case creates an atmosphere of use from the image of having been stored.
