The black body color gives the 2019 Gretsch G6136TBK Black Falcon a different luxury than the White Falcon.
The Black Falcon has the same specs as the White Falcon designed by Jimmy Webster, also known as Gretsch's reformer, in 1955, but with a black color scheme. It has luxurious specifications such as gold parts and metal flakes mixed with clear material for binding. The 17-inch archtop body with full hollowbody construction is equipped with Ray Butts' Filter-Tron humbucking pickups, which give the Gretsch sound a delicate but not too fine treble range and a warm but not too thick mid-bass. The Bigsby unit is also equipped for dynamic vibrato playing with a large fluctuation of sound. This is a one-of-a-kind instrument that has established its own unique taste and sound, and is now used not only in country music but also in a wide range of other genres.
