Description

This Gretsch Jet Firebird was made in the USA in 1962. It has been professionally refinished and looks correct. There is an old headstock repair that is invisible on the back of the headstock but you can see a small line under the truss rod cover. There is some play wear but cosmetically it is in nice shape. Some of the neck binding has been reglued but is mostly intact. Most of the parts are original except for the control covers on the back, the pickguard which is a repro, and the compensated saddle is changed (the base of the bridge is original). Given that the control covers on the back were changed, this does not have a serial number. The plastic tip of the tremolo arm had cracked but has been glued and is now stable. The guitar has also been refretted. This is a very good playing and sounding guitar. It weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces and has been pro-setup in our store. It comes with a non original case.
