Description
Summary: This slightly smaller body refuses to make a sacrifice in tone or volume. The Guild F-20 models were built for comfort and playability, making them ideal for a couch or campfire guitar. But it’s also big on traditional features like solid wood construction with a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides It has all the tone you’d expect from a larger guitar while ensuring you’ll never outgrow it. This 1981 Guild F-20 was built in Westerly, RI and wear in all the right places making it a very comfortable instrument.

Body: Spruce top, Mahogany back/sides.

Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1 5/8” nut width, pearl dot inlays, 20 frets/14 open frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Grover tuning keys, white end pins, black truss rod cover, tortoise pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar has tons of finish checking on the top of the body (See Photos Please) and on the back of the headstock. It has various nicks, dings, and light surface scratches throughout. The back of the neck is clean and smooth, and the frets are in great shape. There is a small spot on the back where the finish has chipped off on the edge near the binding. The headstock has a piece of the wood chipped off. Overall, this guitar has some cosmetic issues but still plays and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 12s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 4.7 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in a hard-shell case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
