1996 Guild F4-CEBLK Black

This 1996 Guild F4-CE is in good cosmetic condition. This instrument shows signs of play wear and age throughout including some moderate to heavy finish checking in the black lacquer, some dings throughout the body and peghead edges and some pick scratches on the pickguard and body. This guitar has a very nice feeling small rounded mahogany neck with a 1 11/16” nut width. The frets show some visible play wear but are still in good shape and the saddle is sitting at low to medium height (see photos). The action on this guitar is very low and is very easy to play. The top is pretty flat and the truss rod is operational. If you’d prefer a higher string action, it could be achieved with a taller saddle but the guitar plays very well with its current setup. These instruments have a 3” thick body that is very comfortable and fun to sit and pick and the built in Guild branded pickup system sounds great when plugged in. This instrument features a mahogany back and sides, a solid spruce top and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. This Guild has a very nice dry acoustic tone that excels for fingerstyle guitar playing and has very nice single note articulation. This instrument is housed in its original Guild hard shell case (the case lid appears to have been repaired at some point but is very solid). If you are looking for an exceptionally cool small bodied, American made acoustic guitar with plenty of vibe, this old Guild just might be the one.
