Originally, the archtop construction was mainly produced for jazz guitarists in the 1950s
Later, in the process of offering acoustic guitars, the company began producing archback guitars that were flat-top but had no bracing.
This confirms why Guild has a strong impression of the archback.

The model we have just received is the OM-240E, which was manufactured in recent years.
It has a slightly smaller body and long scale specs.
If you have owned Guild guitars from the 60s to the 80s, you will know that this model has a unique sound with compressed high frequencies, which is typical of GUILD.
Compared to the old ones, the body is much lighter and you don't feel the heavy weight of GUILD, but I have a good impression that it is easy to handle.

[Condition/Modifications]
- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is straight and free of any chattering or sound clogging issues.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.0mm on the 6th string side, 1.8mm on the 1st string side.
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3mm-2.5mm

- Thorough inspection, fault confirmation and repair upon arrival.
- Good playing condition is guaranteed with adjustments as needed.
- Maintenance adjustments, which normally cost 5,500 yen, are available free of charge.
