2015 Guild Starfire IV ST Emerald Green with Original Hardshell case

Summary: This Guild Starfire IV/ST Reissue is a phenomenal homage to the old New Jersey and Rhode Island made instruments of the 60s. This one is in excellent used condition, has a bone nut and has just been setup and restrung by our in-house guitar tech with a new set of 10s.

“The Starfire IV ST Maple puts a modern twist on a highly popular semi-hollow Guild classic. With its graceful double cutaway and thinline body, the original Starfire IV was prized by many guitarists from the mid-1960s onward for its incomparable tone and feel. Premium features include an all maple body, a solid spruce center block, ebony fingerboard, and Guild’s hallmark mahogany neck with maple center seam. This model features a Tune-O-Matic bridge, with a stopbar tailpiece for increased sustain and stability. The Starfire IV ST Maple includes dual LB-1 “Little Bucker” pickups, replicas of Guild’s original smaller size humbucking pickups.”

Body: Double cutaway semi-hollow maple construction with F holes and a stunning Emerald Green finish.

Neck: Mahogany neck with maple center seam, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots, 25” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: It has 2 LB-1 “little bucker” humbuckers with AlNiCo V magnets, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes, 2 tones, tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece, nickel plated hardware and open gear Grover tuners.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent used condition with no notable damage or play-wear aside from a small amount of pick scratching on the pickguard and some very light scratches on the body.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
