One of the finest and one of the rarest Gurian guitars from the last Gurian factory in West Swanzey, NH. Of the Jumbo size and with perfectly straight-grained back and sides of koa from Hawaii and a super-fine grained Sitka spruce top, very few of this model were made and I have not seen another come on the market, ever. It has had a few repairs in its forty-plus years that are 100% top-notch structurally and are barely visible, if at all. Two beautifully repaired top cracks (I had to search mightily to find them) and some side repair, all totally invisible on the outside. It came to me from the estate of someone who passed away over ten years ago and it has been in storage for most of the time since, kept in its original case. An internal humidifier of some sort was left inside the guitar and it apparently leaked a substance that led to a black stain, which seeped through to a small portion of the back and is visible. This has no effect whatsoever on structural integrity or sound. We’ve gone over this rare and wonderful Gurian JK Model thoroughly, have the action perfectly adjusted just so with frets, nut, and saddle all as they should be for super-comfy playability. The fingerboard is of Gurian's finest ebony, the bridge rosewood, the saddle customized to be removable, the tuning machines the original German-made Schaller M-6 model, gold-plated. The case is a best-grade American-made hard shell, a bit scuffed though 100% sturdy. The locking latch has thankfully been disabled, save you the inevitable annoyance of locking it one day and losing the key. All in all, an unusual opportunity to own one of the rarest and finest of models from an iconic American guitar maker, at a bargain price. Only $1495 w/ohsc
