Offered for sale:
Used c1972 Hagstrom Viking V-1 N serial number 852152.
This guitar is in very good condition. The neck is straight, the frets have life. Has anyone ever met a Hagstrom with a bad neck? We haven’t.
Cosmetically showing some nicks and chips about the headstock, some finish wear on the back of the neck, and some belt rash or wear on the back that appears to have had some finish repair.
Hagstrom has reissued this guitar, yet this example is an original.
Featuring a double bound birch body with dual F-holes, trapeze tailpiece with Hagstrom emblem, nickel bridge with adjustable saddles, black plexi pickguard with silver Hagstrom logo & piping.
The bound birch neck has a slender profile with a rosewood fingerboard and mother of pearl dot inlays and the revised Hagstrom headstock shape is bound and utilizes Van Ghent tuners.
Two HJ50 humbucking pickups, two volume and tone controls, a pickup selector switch and 3-way tone switch, are standard as is the chrome plated hardware. The pickup selector is opposite of what you find on most guitars. Down is the neck position and up is bridge. This is origianal. The tone switch gives an instant bass cut, an instant treble cut and a “normal” position.
This is a very cool guitar and there are not many originals out there. It is believed that only 1845 were built.
“It sounds amazing and plays great”.
Hard-shell case included, the case has some wear and tear.
“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship. If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
