Description

I've been doing this guitar thing since the mid 1990s, and only over the last year have I had Hamer guitars from the mid 90s come through, and I've learned to appreciate them as do others who are in the know - these are high quality instruments!

This Daytona has had the neck altered. It retains its Hamer impressed serial number in the back of the headstock, but the neck has been refinished and the headstock re-shaped like that of a Telecaster. That's my assessment anyhow - the Daytonas I see out there have the standard Hamer headstock shape. The serial number absolutely looks original to me. So, with this change in mind I have set the price at just above half of what stock Daytonas from the period have been selling for out there in the world.  There is also an added route in the body, presumably to accommodate a battery for active electronics.  The work was very professionally done.

Everything else about the guitar was checked in our process - truss rod, electronics, frets - everything functions well and the guitar received a quick setup as well, though some players will want to change strings or the action to their taste.

Original hardshell case included.
