2022 Harmony Comet
Description
Summary: Inspired by the original Harmony H72 of the '60s, the Comet represents the very first semi-hollow electric guitar in Harmony’s lineup. This double cutaway guitar has a carved mahogany top and back for warm, well-rounded acoustic-like tone. The addition of a center block minimizes feedback, and the long-tenon set neck construction increases sustain. It comes equipped with custom gold foil humbuckers and the push/pull master volume pot extends the Comet's tonal possibilities by creating great out-of-phase sounds.
Body: Mahogany with a nitrocellulose translucent red finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 12” radius, 22 frets, small pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Custom Gold Foil humbuckers, locking tuning keys, master volume (push/pull)/master tone/3-way pickup selector, white pickguard, Orange Drop capacitor, TOM bridge/tailpiece.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. The back of the body has some light surface scratches, and the pick guard has light wear.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
