1971 Harmony H-22 Bass with Hardshell Case!

Nice early 1970's Harmony H22/1 in beautiful unfaded Sunburst finish. So light and comfortable to play. All original and very nice except for a side crack on the jack side. It's been professionally repaired and is completely solid. The switch only works in the booming sound (the good sound on these) and the bottom strap button is of course broken like they do. The neck feels great and is straight and true. The code on the inside suggest the bass was made in 1971. The bass comes with a newer Epiphone hardshell case. The bass plays well and sounds excellent.

The first version of Harmony H22 was a single cutaway flat top hollow body bass, built from 1961 to 1968. From 1969 to 1972 it was replaced by the double cutaway H22/1 bass seen here. The H22/1 is fairly rare, most of the H22 examples are the older single cutaway models.
Small Faces had a hit single "Itchigoo Park" - this featured Ronnie Lane and a Harmony H22. The late Keith Ferguson used one in his last years. Spencer Davis Group's mid-1960s recordings, bassist Muff Winwood (Steve Winwood's brother) used this model.
From more recent recordings, check out Adele's "When We Were Young", there's a video on YouTube as well.
