This Harmony H64 is in good vintage cosmetic condition showing signs of play wear, age and use including some scratches, a few dings here and there and the black plastic peghead face cap has come unglued at the top (see photos). The original Bigsby tailpiece was removed and the guitar was fitted with an aftermarket trapeze tailpiece by the previous owner. Also, the bridge top appears to be a 60s or 70s unit from a Hagstrom or Guild electric. This guitar has a chunky maple neck with a very rounded profile and a 1 11/16” nut width and it feels terrific. The frets are original and show some signs of play wear but still have plenty of life. This guitar is set up with flat wounds and it plays very well up and down the fingerboard. The original DeArmond Gold Foil “mustache” pickups sound tremendous and are in perfect working order. These pickups are perfect for any kind of lo-fi rock, rhythm and blues or subdued jazzy stuff and with the flat wound strings the instrument really has some very nice dry thumpy low end. If you are looking for a cool, vintage utility instrument or just a righteous old Harmony semi-hollow electric, then this H64 could suit your needs.
