These old Harmony Stratotones are cool beasts, especially this Roy Smeck signature model. This one is in really good cosmetic condition for a 50 year old vintage guitar and it’s nearly 100 per cent original. It has only a replaced strap button and some possible fret work.
The action on this Stratotone is reasonably good but there is considerable fret buzzing in some fingerboard locations which can probably best be remedied by a refret. The bound fingerboard appears to have shrunk a bit, but the binding is in good condition and well attached. The fretboard marker inlays are slightly faded with an attractive vintage look.
This guitar needs a little TLC but it’s a solid guitar at its heart and the look is classic 1960s styling. Original pickups sound great. No case with this one.
