Here we have a 1940s Harmony Sovereign H-1203 that has been updated with new bracing, bridgeplate, neck set, and more. It has general playwear as you’d expect on a guitar nearly 80 years old, but no visible cracks or breaks. The overall appearance of this Sovereign is quite good and the vintage mojo adds to charm.
Non-original vintage-style 3-on-a-plate tuners. Replaced bone nut with a very comfortable 1 3/4 inch width. Mahogany neck with a 25.4 inch scale length. Neck depth of .90 at the first fret and 1.15 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets (refretted) and a 12 inch radius. Maple bridgeplate added. Originally ladder braced, but has been rebraced with X bracing. No truss rod on Harmonys of this vintage, but the neck has been reset.
More warmth and clarity than a typical ladder-braced Harmony would have. Comes with its original softshell case.
