Hayes Hand wired Custom 5E3 Deluxe with 6L6 Tweed
Man, this amp knocked us out! It is really well built, using Mercury Magnetics transformers (Apparently made to Hayes' spec - see pics) and high quality parts.
I didn't expect it to roar so much - I thought it was a standard Tweed Deluxe clone when I first saw it, but it is set up for two 6L6 output tubes. The Deluxe uses 6V6 tubes and outputs less power. This Hayes amp just smokes, with a little more overall volume available than the standard 5E3. It breaks up like crazy too, especially when you hit it with a Les Paul or SG.
