The Lead series is heavily based off of a modified DR series. Think of that tone, and then give it some mean gain that gets heavier that Hiwatts are used to, and you have the Lead series. This is not to be confused with the 80's Hiwatt lead series, this is based off of a custom built DR for an artist that will remain unnamed, back in 1970. This is one of nastiest sounding Hitwatt tones you will find, and nasty is a good thing, very good thing.
