Up for sale, a 1967 Hofner 12-string acoustic guitar. We think it looks super cool with its ginormous headstock and western style pickguard. It actually sounds pretty darn good and it’s in relatively good condition. It does have a hole drilled in the headstock and we have no idea why. To hang it with maybe? In any case the hole doesn’t present any structural issues.
The guitar has a 1 7/8 inch nut width (replaced nut). Action is reasonably good, certainly playable, but it does have a bit of a dip in the fingerboard where the neck meets the body. The saddle has enough room to bring down the action more if desired. We didn’t mess with the truss rod so not sure if it’s still working.
One broken end pin needs replacing with next string change. But all in all, a weird and charming collectable that you can actually make music with.
