Hofner Club Bass 500/2 Sunburst w/ 2 hardshell cases

Summary: This recreation of the legendary Hofner hollowbody bass is made in Germany with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The new Hofner 500/2 Club Bass shares the feel, tone, and many features of the Hofner Vintage '63 but with a more traditional guitar body profile and a single cutaway. It is made with select hardwoods and 2 excellent sounding 511B Staple humbuckers. Our guitar tech has just inspected, set up and restrung this Hofner with flatwound strings, it has a beautiful sustaining tone with deep resonance and plenty of vintage vibe. It ships in the original rectangular silver bulletproof roadcase and even includes a nice aftermarket vintage style black hardshell case.

Body: Sunburst hollowbody single cutaway with select German spruce top, flame maple back and sides and w/b/w binding.

Neck: 3 piece maple/beech/maple set neck, 22 fret bound rosewood fingerboard with zero fret, 30” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 Hofner 511B Staple Humbuckers, ebony floating bridge with movable saddles, brass nickel plated trapeze tailpiece, Hofner A2-B control panel with 2 volume controls, 2 on/off switches, and rhythm/solo switch for volume boost and Hofner open gear tuning machines.

Cosmetics: This bass is in excellent used condition with just the slightest signs of playwear. There are some pick scratches on the body, some finish checking in the lacquer and a few small dings here and there but no major scratches, dents and no breaks, cracks or visible repairs.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this bass with a new set of flatwounds and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.

Case: This Hofner comes with the original rectangular silver roadcase and even has an extra aftermarket vintage style roadcase. We will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
