The Contemporary version of the 500/5 (President) bass was inspired by Hofner models of the 1950's and 60's. It was most famously played by Stuart Sutcliffe in the early days of the Beatles. It has a big and bold sound thanks to the fully hollow 16.5" wide body and close spaced Hofner "Toaster" pick-ups. You also can't argue with the fact that this bass looks as amazing as it sounds either. The Hofner 500/5 is available in Black and Sunburst for a limited time. Hard case included.
