Description
Summary: This Destroyer is an Ibanez electric guitar manufactured at the FujiGen-Gakki factory. The Destroyer model was first introduced in 1975. It has Super 70s humbuckers and chrome hardware. The 2459 features a large, angular body modeled on the Gibson Explorer. The kind of wood that this guitar is made of has been much debated, either ash or korina. The body is mated to a set-in 3-ply maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers.

Body: Solid Ash or Korina with a gloss finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 22 frets, pearl dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Super 70s humbuckers, tunomatic bridge/stop bar tailpiece, 2x volume/master tone controls/3-way pickup selector, white pickguard, “Star” tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches throughout. There is ding on the top of the body near the bridge (See Photos Please). There is one small impression on the back of the neck near the 7th fret. Overall the neck is clean and the frets are in great shape. Besides the dent on the top of the body this guitar looks great. It plays very well and sounds amazing.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 9.78 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in the original hard-shell case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
