The JEM7,also known as the JEM7 BSB, is a JEM series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid/late 1995. It is a signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai.
The JEM7 features an American basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fretboard with screw-head position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Breed humbucking pickups flanking a DiMarzio ISCV2 single-coil mounted in a brushed aluminum pickguard, a Lo Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
A previous model bearing the same name was offered in the late 1980's as the JEM7 RB.
The JEM7 BSB had a production run of six plus years before being discontinued after 2001.
This JEM was reportedly signed by Steve Vai at the NAMM show, but I wasn't there as a witness. It appears to be authentic, and I'm not sure why anyone would try to fake it...
The guitar is in excellent condition. There are no issues, changes or repairs. The guitar set up perfectly for us and there is room for future truss rod adjustment.
Leather gig bag is included.
