The 2453 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1975. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen. It's visually similar to the Epiphone/Gibson Howard Roberts model.
This example is in excellent, excellent condition with no repairs. The knobs threw us off as they look really new, but everything I see out there seems to be the same. Gold speed knobs are definitely original, but these could possibly be changed I suppose.
The guitar shows very little wear - even the top edge of the headstock is virtually free of typical dings or wear. The original frets are in excellent condition.
The original case and cable are included too.
The 2453 is visually similar to the Epiphone/Gibson Howard Roberts model which it was obviously inspired by. It features a hollow body design with an arched curly maple top with and oval multi-layer purfling soundhole and selected maple back and sides with a single Florentine cutaway mated to a set-in one-piece hard laminated maple neck with an open-book headstock design and a 22-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with binding and fancy pearloid position markers with black side dots. Components include one gold Super 70 humbucking pickup with individual volume mid range and treble roll-off controls; a height-adjustable rosewood bridge with a T-bar trapeze tailpiece; a bone nut; a tortoise pickguard, speed gold knobs and pearloid individual tuning machines.
The 2453 was discontinued after 1977.
