A pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups are installed, putting out a massive bass tone that can be shaped using the Ibanez Custom Electronics — a three-band EQ with an EQ bypass switch as well as passive tone control on the treble pot, and a three-way mid frequency switch for ultimate tonal control. The MR5S bridge and saddles can be adjusted to answer to the bassist's detailed demands and to help find the best string spacing for many different play-styles.
