Ibanez SR305 DX
Description
Summary: The SR Series is one of the most popular intermediate basses made by Ibanez, with tons of variations offering quality appointments. The Ibanez SR305 is the five-string version of the SR300, using two Ibanez DX5 pickups in a solid body, with an EQB-IIC 2-band EQ. The Maple neck has a contoured bolt joint and a Rosewood fingerboard.
Body: Solid, double cutaway, flamed transparent black gloss finish.
Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 34” scale length, 1.75” nut width, 24 frets, white dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Ibanez DX5 pickups, chrome closed gear tuning keys, individual saddles, EQB-IIC 2-band EQ, black plastic nut.
Cosmetics: This bass has light surface scratches throughout. There is quite a bit of wear on the top and back of the body that includes scratches and wear that has worn down the gloss on the top of the body. The back of the neck has some scratches that are light. The frets are still in great shape. Overall, this bass has some cosmetic issues but it still plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
