~1987 Jackson Soloist Pearl White
This guitar was produced at the very end of San Dimas production and has many of the correct San Dimas attributes. This guitar has Pearl White finish, Ebony Board with Shark Tooth inlays, full neck binding and metal cavity covers. To note, it is currently equipped with a single volume and 5-way blade switch. The body was originally drilled for three mini switches and a volume and tone control and may have had a pre-amp(as noted in the trem cavity factory notes-see photos). The holes were plugged and the body was re-drilled for the current set-up(this can be seen from the top only under specific lighting conditions and angles and clearly from inside the control cavity). When this modification was done is any ones guess but the finish appears to be factory quality. Being that the Soloist was a Custom Shop Customizable platform at the time this was built, it is remotely possible that the the filled holes and single volume and 5-way switch mod was done at the factory as the finish looks to be clearly factory done and was one of the factory color options that was not available for several years after production left San Dimas. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Dimarzio Tone Zone(the original is not included. The frets show no wear and the guitar is super clean! It has just been set up with 9 gauge strings and is ready to play. It weighs 8lbs., 8 oz. The guitar will ship in the original Jackson hard shell case and will include and a white Altas Italian Leather strap.
