1950's Kay model 162 Bass "Sunburst"

Popularly known as the Howlin' Wolf Bass after Andrew Acmahon began using one live in Wolf's band, the Kay 162 is about as close to the sound of an old upright bass as an electric instrument gets! This example has had a professionally reset neck making it an excellent player, while the original "blade" style neck pickup and hollowbody construction provide the distinctive, warm tone that makes this a must have for anyone looking for a bass that nails the sound of bass parts on Chess records!
