This Kay model 27 acoustic guitar was made in the USA in 1958. Clearly inspired by the Gibson J-200, this guitar has the Jumbo body style of that model with more typical Kay ornamentation, including the iconic Kelvinator headstock. This was Kay's top-of-the-line acoustic and these are quire rare. The guitar is X braced. This guitar shows normal play wear, but overall it is in nice shape. It has had a pro-neck reset and as a result the neck angle is great and the action is low. It has been refretted with tall frets and someone put a cool wooden heel cap on the guitar. It sounds very good, and has been pro-setup in our shop so it plays great. It comes with a non original hard case.
