1978年より続くオール・ハンドメイド・ベース専門メーカ、ケン・スミス。ケン・スミス氏自身が全米有数のウッドコレクターとしてもしられ、他の楽器メーカーや家具業者にまで木材供給を広く行っている程です。そのケンスミス氏の木材に対する拘りは、他のメーカーではなしえない製作工程を可能にし、現在、他のメーカではほとんど行っていない、天然乾燥のみで木材を安定させる方式でベースを製作。最低でも5年、長く寝かされる材で20年から30年以上の材を使用し製作されるベースは絶対的なネックの強度を可能にし、ロッドは補助的な物と言わしめるだけの精度を保ちます。
このMelvin Lee Davi氏が愛用していたフレットレスは、サウンドでも確認できる様に、美しい歌声の様な繊細かつふくよかなサウンドが魅力。エレクトリックベースでありながら、アコースティックベースを彷彿させるそのサウンドは、多岐にわたってあらゆる音楽やバンドで活躍を見せているMelvin Lee Davis氏の音楽への対応力とサウンドの幅の広さを感じさせてくれます。本人曰く「所有してから30年に渡り、変わらず美しい音を響かせてくれる」と言わしめるサウンドのベース。

The product can be returned within 7 days of receipt. The goods must be returned in the original packaging and in the condition in which they were received.
