2018 Klein Parlor Brazilian

A rare and stupendous Brazilian rosewood guitar from the workshops of Steve Klein and Steve Kauffman. It is the sought after Parlor Model with 14-1/2” lower bout, so much more comfortable to hold and to play than the extra-large Klein models commonly encountered. Even better than that, not only are its back and sides Brazilian rosewood but they are strikingly straight-grained Brazilian rosewood of a quality not seen anywhere since the Martin guitars of the 1940s-50s. One minor back crack has been taken care of by us and is near impossible to discern. The top is made from the finest-grain Sitka spruce, the fingerboard top-flight ebony, and the bridge is also of Brazilian rosewood, with bone saddle.

This guitar came to us from its original owner, who bought it directly from Steve Klein in 2018. Condition is extremely clean with all aspects of its action just thoroughly gone over by us here in our own workshop. Volume and tone are like no other I've encountered; loud, warm with just the right amount of brightness, and quite crisp.
