DESCRIPTION
A bass for Doctor Doom! For your consideration a 1980 Kramer DMZ4001 Bass! In 1974 Travis Bean and Gary Kramer designed and started a guitar company that featured an aluminum neck! They ended up parting ways and Gary founded his own guitar company (Kramer). Gary decided to redesign the neck because players found them to be heavy and lifeless to the touch. By adding two pieces of wood he reduced the weight and gave the neck a more classic feel!

Specs! This guitar is all original and in very good condition. Schaller tuners. Aluminum nut with a zero fret. Nut width measures 1-9/16″. Aluminum framed neck with wood pieces. Scale length is 34″. Ebonol fingerboard with a 12″ radius. Action measures 6/64″ on the bass side and 5/64″ on the treble side. The original 20 jumbo frets are in excellent condition. Maple body in a natural gloss finish. Original DiMarzio Model P pick up with original wiring. Nickel 4 saddle bridge. Comes with its original case. Weighs 10 pounds and 3 ounces.

In more recent years these aluminum neck guitars have found a cult like following. There is just a special quality to these unique instruments that you wont find in your average guitar. Tons of sustain from the aluminum neck and DiMarzio pick ups. Excellently set up in house by our tech, plays fast and loud with out fretting out. Its already 40 years old and still has excellent condition frets! Would be an amazing bass for any heavy style rocking.
