Description

Offered once again is this spectacular Strat-style guitar built by Scott Lentz back in 2003. The previous owner of this guitar had swapped out the original Lentz pickups, so I had Lentz Guitars repair and reinstall all the original electronics and bring this guitar back to it's original state. This amazing Fiesta Red beauty was originally built for Charles Daughtry, a Texas-based lawyer, player and collector who owns "Nicky," the original '59 Les Paul that became the basis for Gibson's Collectors Choice #24. Scott built this amazing S for Mr. Daughtry with the following specs: an ultra-light one-piece Ash body with a total weight of just 6 pounds, 11 ounces; a large and very soft V-shaped maple neck with depth measurements of .925" at the 1st fret and 1.015" at the 12th; a drop-dead gorgeous "old growth" Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius, 6105 frets and 1.655" bone nut; Gotoh bridge and hardware; and Lentz hand-wound single coils. This is easily among the best two or three S-style guitars that I have ever had my hands on. Even by Lentz' lofty standards this guitar is a standout. The sound is vintage Strat and the build quality and playability are unmatched. In essence, this is a Lentz Reserve guitar built before there was such a thing! This incredible instrument is in excellent condition too. If not for one small ding in the top near the lower bout strap pin (see photo) I could call this guitar near mint. The frets are in amazing condition as well. It comes with it's original blonde G&G case, also in fine condition. If you have been looking for something spectacular in the way of a Strat to come along, you need not look any longer, as here she is!
