This was my favorite guitar for years. No joke. I’ve owned six Linhof teles and this was always the benchmark one. (Alongside #111 which I’m keeping mainly because it is a maple fretboard)
This guitar is special. It plays like a dream, has an incredibly stable, straight neck, punchy tone with tons of low end umph and beautiful/sparking highs.
Over the years I swapped out pickups and put a Callaham bridge on it. I have the original matching serial numbered bridge and both original pickups. These will be put back on if it sells making it once again, all original. I got this guitar from Killer Vintage before I got to know Kurt.
I want this to go to a good home. It’s no sales pitch, it’s a reeeeallly goooood one. These were made by former Fender Master Builder J.W. Black and according to Dave Hinson, around 75 were made. (Not 155 as the serial numbers would indicate )
