Incredible because drums get hit, they fall over or sometimes they even get pushed over, they often get drug around from gig to gig, they are abused daily by maniac drummers who hit them without mercy, vintage drums are usually beaten up by the time we see them. This kit is new, it’s exactly as if someone in 1977 ordered and bought John Bonhams drum kit and just didn’t bother to use it. You can count the amount of drumstick marks on the original heads; some of the heads don’t have marks. There are no modifications of any kind, no repairs. Many would call them mint; let’s go with near mint to be accurate. No cracks, no holes, nothing wrong, just a perfect example of one of the most iconic drum sets ever made famous by the best rock drummer in the world John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. We have learned that the original inspiration for the sizes and set up of this kit date back to the legendary Buddy Rich, one of John Bonham’s heroes and early influences. The original Supraphonic snare is also like John Bonham’s as its 7 inches deep, it is also as new low mileage and was purchased of course with the set in 1977. We highly recommended buying instruments in this realm of quality, as the investment yield is always greater when buying rare models in perfect condition. This incredible time capsule drum kit is comprised of 6 pieces, a 26X14 kick drum serial number 1873500, an 18X16 floor tom no serial, a 16X16 floor tom no serial, a 15X12 rack tom serial number 1877462, a 14X10 rack tom no serial and a 14X7 Supraphonic snare drum. Not pictured but included is the original Ludwig trap case, several Ludwig cymbal stands, the original Ludwig hi hat stand, the original Ludwig kick drum pedal and more.
