1970 Marshall Model 1959 Super Lead 100W Amp

Excellent condition featuring 100 watts of power, EL34 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, four instrument inputs, gold aluminum front and rear panels, original brown and gold Marshall knobs, metal Power and Standby switches, red jewel light, black rubberized handle, four round rubber feet, serial number impressed into the back panel, two rear speaker output jacks, white plastic Marshall logo and original black Tolex covering with gold piping.

This 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition showing some signs of wear throughout including some small nicks in the Tolex (see photos). This amp is in perfect operational order and has been recently serviced. A master volume has been added to the back panel along with a click switch that when engaged will defeat the master volume. A three way rotary switch has been added for the ohm selection. An orange 3 prong power cable has been installed. The polarity switch on the front of the amp has been disengaged. A fan was installed inside the chassis at some point but has been removed. The transformers, pots, and tone caps (mustard) all appear to be original. This Super Lead sounds absolutely glorious and delivers quintessential LOUD midrange aggression. Our shop is fortunate to have bought and sold a lot of extremely cool vintage amplifiers, but this one is certainly a stand out. You just can’t beat a 100w Super Lead.
