This 1979 Marshall Model 2203 JMP is a 100 watt fire breather.  Make no mistake, the clean tone is to die for as well.

This amp has been around the area since at least the late 80s, residing in a friend's shop for a long time as a not-for-sale temptation.  An employee of his eventually talked him into selling it to him.  It hit stages around Northern California for a few years, then sat in storage until it happened into our shop.

After bringing the amp up on the variac, I went through it completely and was pleased to find that it has ever been modded or messed with.  The originnal transformers are in place, along with everything else.  All I needed to do was change out the power cable as the old one was dry and cracked.

The tubes were checked on our tested and by ear and are good to go.  Pots and tube sockets were cleaned.  The amp is good to go.

I played this one for about an hour the other night through a 1994 1960Av cab and it crushed it.  Just a fantastic amp.
