Description

Perhaps the crown jewel of our current inventory- and that’s saying something. 1911 0-42 strung with low tension light strings. Only 392 0-42s were made in the history of Martin, considerably fewer than the 00-42 model. In 1911 only SIX 0-42s were made. This one conforms to the typical 42 style with generous inlays of mother of pearl and abalone. This particular guitar is in outstanding condition and looks practically unplayed and near mint. No changed parts. An expert luthier termed this guitar “museum quality”. All the best materials were utilized. You will not find a better example. The quality, rarity, and condition necessitate calling this an investment in all aspects. Beautiful enough for any living room
and enough of an instrument for any professional musician. And if you’re astute about the vintage guitar market- you see the value now and in the future. $42,500.
