On Hold!
Description

This guitar is currently at our luthier's shop. It will get a neck reset and saddle, and likely a refret as well.

No sales tax for customers outside California.

This 1938 Martin 00-17 is simply stunning and harks from what is regarded as the best year in Martin's production history.

It is noted that Martin made 375 00-17s in 1938.  This has to be among the very cleanest examples.
There are no changes or repairs whatsoever. The finish is in remarkably excellent condition.  Look at the tuners - they shine!

Despite the condition, the guitar has been played over the years.  The frets show a good deal of wear.  The guitar will need a neck reset, refret and new saddle to be aptly enjoyed.  However, it sounds amazing as it sits.  With this work done, this will be an absolutely phenomenal guitar.  If it sits here for a while we'll have the work done, which of course will increase the price.

The original case is included.  It is obviously worn but is in nicer condition than most.

We will ship the case separate from the guitar, so there will be two boxes in this shipment, increasing shipping cost.  We will include a sacrificial hardshell case to protect the guitar.  It won't be a nice one, but it'll be secure and viable for transport.
