1953 Martin 00-18 in excellent condition. "Vermont Spruce" top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and a nitrocellulose lacquer. These so-called mystery top Martins are very sought after for their complex and powerful sound as compared to the Sitka generally in use at the time and this guitar is a prime example of that. Aside from a high quality neck reset and a bridge re-glue this guitar has no history of significant repairs or modifications and is completely crack free. Neck is 1 11/16" wide at the nut, profile is 0.87" at the 1st fret, 1.03" at the 10th fret. Action is 3/32" on the bass side, 5/64" on the treble side with plenty of saddle left if you prefer lower action. Weight is 3.58lbs. Comes with the original chipboard case.
