HISTORY:
The first Martin 00-18G guitars were built in 1936 and production continued through 1962. It was designed to use either gut or nylon strings---the "G" in the model name stands for "gut". Built in the style of a classical guitar with a wide nut, flat radius, and unmarked fingerboard. A little over five thousand 00-18G guitars were produced and in 1961, the 00-18G accounted for 16% of all Martin guitar sales
