1924 Martin 2-17 w/hard case

1924 Martin 2-17 (#21184)...Very clean and tidy little guitar from the pre-war era in all mahogany with Brazilian rosewood fret board and bridge. Bridge and tuners have been replaced but all other components of the guitar including finish are original. The guitar has just had a neck reset and a new bridge installed (the original was cut way down), along with a center seam repair of the top, one hairline side crack repaired, a couple of braces reglued and the bar frets leveled and dressed. In addition, the original tuners were replaced as two of the worm gears were skipping. The result is a guitar that plays and sounds as pretty as it looks. Cosmetically the guitar is very clean, showing some signs of handling but no wear through the finish anywhere on the body or neck. The neck angle is perfect and the neck straight under tension, the action measures 6/64" at the low E and 5/64" at the high E under tension of light gauge. The intonation is good all over the neck. The tuners that were chosen as replacements are StewMac Golden Age nickel plate tuners that are a bit fancier than the original plain brass tuners originally found on the guitar but were chosen because they are the only set of tuners currently in the market with the exact same plate shape and mounting screw hole placement, so they could be installed without having to plug/redrill mounting screw holes on the guitar. Comes with a new TKL case that fits quite nicely. $3350 + shipping, NYS buyers add 8% sales tax.
