The Martin Custom Shop offered this gorgeous 24.9" scale CS-0041-15 in 2015, limited to 75 guitars. Striking Cocobolo back and sides and an Adironcack Spruce top, combined with Martin's Vintage Tone System & delicately scalloped 1/4" top bracing, delivers a high performance, complex and vibrant tone. Premium inlay techniques were used for the Cocobolo headstock overlay and the back. Body is bound with Hawaiian flamed Koa trim and Style 41 abalone inlay, as is the rosette. Specially designed delicate concave ribbon inlays in abalone, mother of pearl, and mahogany adorn the ebony fingerboard.
Martin's Vintage Tone System - new at the time - enables a unique process of "historic" torrefaction which allows Martin to age the top / braces to recreate the tonality of the best of their vintage guitars from Martin's golden era. Deluxe Martin hard shell case included.
The guitar is very light weight, plays amazingly, is in virtually unplayed condition, & the sound is amazing.
