This short scale (24.9") beauty has a beautiful straight-grained Italian spruce top paired with a gorgeous set of figured ziricote for the back and sides. The body binding is figured maple. The top is highly decorated with a Style 45 abalone rosette and Style 42 pearl inlays. The 12- fret modified low oval-shaped neck is made of Mahogany. The ebony fretboard is bound with flame maple, has a 16" radius, abalone inlays and a 1.75" bone nut. It has an ebony bridge with 2-5/32" spacing and a compensated bone saddle. The slotted headstock has a ziricote overlay, is bound in maple and the tuners are gold Waverly's. The guitar's body is fully finished in clear gloss nitro, the neck in satin and is drop-dead gorgeous!
This guitar's beauty is not just skin deep, however. It plays with superb ease and is setup with 12th fret string heights of 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side. Even though the guitar has yet to be broken in, the tone is rich and woody with lots of clarity and midrange punch. Please check out the brief sound sample included below. While designed for fingerstyle play, you can really dig-in with a flat pick if you like. Either way, the output of this little beauty will amaze you.
This guitar comes in “as new” condition with no flaws of any kind and has seen only light test play. The frets are flawless as well. It comes with its similarly clean Geib-style case along with the uninstalled end pin and paperwork.
Commissioning a guitar with these specs will cost approximately $13K today. Get this mint 2024 beauty for thousands less. A lovely, as new custom 00 just waiting for you to break in!
