Body: Solid Carpathian spruce top. HD-28 style forward-shifted scalloped braces. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. Koa binding. Maple and black fiber purfling. Gloss natural finish.
Neck: Mahogany, full one-piece neck with no headstock wings. Low profile carve. “Diamond” headstock volute. Ebony fretboard with MOP dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width. Satin finish.
Hardware: Open-gear Grover tuners. Ebony bridge. Bone nut and saddle.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in beautiful shape, with little sign of wear apart from some light picking scratches on the pickguard. The quality of the woods and the workmanship are top notch. This rare instrument looks to have been sparingly played and well-maintained with an eye to preserving its collectability.
Playability: True to its dreadnaught heritage, this guitar has a huge, room-filling sound that is well-balanced and bright. The action is set average for an acoustic with room to adjust to taste. The neck is a comfortable modern shape that lets you fingerpick with ease; dig in with a pick and the notes bloom with a rich sweetness.
