This 1969 Martin D-28 was purchased form the son of the original owner.  It is a true beauty.

This is remarkably clean guitar with no cracks, overspray, or misguided repairs - an absolutely gorgeous example from the very end of the period when Martin's stock wood for the back and sides was Brazilian Rosewood.

The wood quality of the top and back woods are top notch with exquisite grain.

The frets show some pitting in the lower register.  A fret level and crown would be viable, allowing more use out of the original frets.

The guitar does need a neck reset.  It is currently very playable, but the saddle has been lowered significantly.  Fortunately, the bridge has not been messed with.  We may have the neck reset, but I have found that some folks prefer to have their own luthier tackle such work.  If I do send the guitar off for work it will return at a somewhat substantially higher price.

The pickguard has been professionally replaced.  The original is in the case, which I assume is also original to the guitar.  The bridge pins have also bee replaced.  A better fitting set could be procured, but they work well.
The guitar has been played little over the last fist full of years.  The guitar could stand to get some play to wake it up - a phenomenon that is a thing with Martin guitars.  They need to be played regularly to stay open and full as they are capable of being.  We're playing it daily, so that will help!
